The hair book
The book I illustrated last winter is finally for sale. It’s an educational book about hair and coiffures in Finnish for hair dresser students. But it seems the book has attracted attention in women’s magazines too, and hopefully it can reach a larger audience. Here are some of my favourite illustrations and pages:
Technical details: I used Wacom Intuous and Photoshop CS3.

Illustrations autumn and winter 2011
I’ve been focusing on my thesis this winter, but I’ve had time to do some initial images for my own fantasy book (there will be about 25 images in all). Here’s a lion fountain that’s gone through a long progression as I’ve been learning digital painting. It sets the tone of the book quite well: dark and ancient, but also magical and hopeful…
I also did two Christmas/Yule-cards together with the company Sonck-Koota (they have copyright):
First solo
Earlier this year I found Butoh. I realized it was my form of dance. I feel completely at home with it. So I’ve been going to workshops when ever I have time. And in November I was given the opportunity to give a first solo performance.
The setting is KTH in Stockholm, in a concrete pit deep under ground. And the performance was part of a LARP. I’ll write more about that later… Photos are by Eva Ö.
